Outdoor living is a wonderful addition to a home, as it adds increased guest and entertainment space. However, many homeowners question the design of their patio and whether or not to choose concrete pavers or wood for their patio design.
Concrete Pavers
Pavers require little treatment, having great durability and color range. However, periodic resealing is required, otherwise the occasional pressure washing should do.
Wood
Wood, on the other hand, is low cost and requires periodic maintenance, as the material can warp, twist, shrink, or swell; if maintenance is not kept, you’d be looking at replacing the wood in a matter of time.
In summary, pavers can cost more upfront but are a little more unforgiving when it comes to maintenance. There are plenty of color varieties with pavers, but less so with wood stains.
