Driveways and walkways serve both a functional and aesthetic purpose. Many homes have simple poured concrete, but this cracks over time and does little to enhance the value of your property. Instead of using concrete consider the following options that are as beautiful as they are functional and durable.
- Natural stone. Cut blocks of granite look fantastic and can be set to facilitate better drainage. They can also be chosen in multiple colors to create patterns within your driveways and walkways.
- Inlaid with Grass. Combining grass with square pavers creates a charming and welcoming appearance. To make maintenance easier, you can opt to do this with artificial turf instead of natural grass.
- Asphalt. Asphalt is more flexible than concrete and won’t crack as easily. While it will fade over time, you can put protective coatings on it to prevent this as well as water seepage and oil staining.
- Crushed Stone/Gravel. Easy to install, gravel and stone can be compacted to create an even and solid surface.
