Being a new pool owner can seem overwhelming at times: How often should I clean the pool? What’s with all this PH stuff? What else do I need to know? Triad Associates know how much fun owning a pool can be, so here are a few tips that might answer some of your questions.
Make sure you check your pool’s chemistry 2-3 times a week during the summer, and at least once a week during the winter. Proper pool chemistry will help extend the life of your pool, and prevent several common problems.
Clean your pool regularly. Skimmers need to be checked at least once a week. The pump needs to be cleaned about every other week. Clean your filters every 4-6 months. Wipe down and clean your tiles weekly to prevent build up.
Keep animals, vegetation and non-pool chemicals out of the pool. Animal waste can feed the algae and ruin the look of your pool. Don’t feed the algae and it won’t keep coming back for treats.
