Temperatures are dropping, but you don’t want to give up your outdoor adventures just yet. Houzz.com has a few great ideas to help you extend the season, and get some extra use out of your patio.
Try adding a roof and surrounding your area with curtains to block breezes and lock in heat. You have the option to build a stylish roof to encircle your outdoor area, or just use a seasonal canopy that can easily be disassembled and stored when the weather heats back up.
Add your own source of heat. You can add an outdoor fireplace or fire pit, or if you are looking for a more temporary solution a few candles or heat lamps around each seat can provide some more affordable warmth and some extra light for those dark nights.
There are other handy gadgets that could provide some extra warmth. In the above photo, you can see some heat lamps dangling from the ceiling. Small fire pits can also be purchased for a warming table decoration. When in doubt, you can always just bring out a comfy blanket to curl up with.
