Now is the time to start planning your spring and summer landscaping projects, and the following hardscaping tips for the yard are definitely ones you’ll want to consider incorporating:
- Create a patio out of flagstones. It’s easy to do and provides a nice and relaxing place to entertain guests. You can even soften it up by planting grass or moss between the stones to help it blend in with the greenery within the yard.
- Build a resort. Why go away when you can head into the backyard? Build a pergola or a gazebo and set them beside the swimming pool and/or hot tub.
- Turn the heat up. Incorporate an outdoor firepit or fireplace for hours of fun that won’t end when the sun goes down and the chill sets in.
- Sink the garden. Designing a sunken garden is a lot of fun and will give you a charming feature that all your guests will fawn over throughout the summer.
