You have more flexibility in creating outdoor spaces than interior areas because there are not many boundaries in place. Its design should explore your creativity and show off your individualism. Consider some of these ideas to help you get started:
- Use bright colors. While earth tones are a favorite indoors, they are hard to notice in outdoor spaces. Instead, try using bold pieces of decor and accessories to make an impact.
- Install an outdoor kitchen. If you are serious about relaxing and entertaining outdoors, dedicate an area to a full kitchen. You’ll find it much more comfortable and convenient than heading indoors every time you need the stove or refrigerator.
- Add a fire pit. Stay warm until late into the evenings even on a chilly day with a fire pit. Rather than just creating a hole in the ground, enhance the design with pavers or stamped concrete.
- Use a water feature. Make your space as relaxing as possible by including water, whether a full pond or a simple fountain.
